April 77 was founded in 2002 by Brice Partouche as a tribute to the alternative punk culture and its way of life. Partouche was born in April of 1977, hence the name of the brand. The collections are fully leather and fur-free, as well as considered "cruelty-free," meaning both the creation of material and sewing of garments occur under ethical conditions. April 77 is a tribute to rock culture rebels and Partouche's goal is that the label should be as important to fashion, as rock music has been for music.
